I’m an instructional designer with a Master's degree in Instructional Design and Technology (Instructional Systems) and a background in education, training, and development. I enjoy creating thoughtful, learner-centered learning experiences that are grounded in adult learning theory and instructional design best practices.
I've always been passionate about learning and helping others grow. Throughout my career, I’ve naturally found myself in trainer and mentor roles, but my path into instructional design truly began in the classroom more than eight years ago. I taught in-person, virtual, and blended courses, and that’s where I discovered my love for designing engaging lessons and eLearning experiences. From there, I transitioned into training, development, and instructional design at Victor 12, where I continued to refine my practice.
Today, I design, develop, and implement training across multiple modalities and a wide range of topics, including human resources, onboarding, performance support, systems training, and security. I enjoy collaborating closely with SMEs and stakeholders, working within LMS environments, and using authoring tools to bring learning to life. I am known for my attention to detail, collaborative approach, and commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible training that supports real-world performance.
Outside of my project work, I enjoy exploring new learning technologies, refining my design practice, and continuing to grow as a learning professional.
My approach to education and instructional design is shaped by my experience as an educator, instructional designer, and lifelong learner. At its core, my philosophy is grounded in three guiding principles: equity, engagement, and purposeful use of technology. I believe in designing inclusive, learner-centered experiences that support diverse needs, actively involve learners in the learning process, and use technology intentionally to enhance accessibility, application, and connection. My approach is informed by Universal Design for Learning, adult learning theory, instructional design frameworks, and a commitment to creating meaningful, real-world learning experiences.
